What Is My ISP?

See your public IP address, Internet Service Provider, ASN, and approximate location, detected instantly from your connection.

Your IP/ISP is read from your connection to our server — nothing else is collected

Looking up your connection…

Your IP address and ISP are read from your connection to our server (the same data every website you visit already receives) — nothing is stored. Location is approximate, based on your ISP's registered IP range, not your exact physical location.

What is What Is My ISP??

Your ISP (Internet Service Provider) is the company that provides your internet connection — a mobile carrier, cable company, or fiber provider. Every website you visit can already see your public IP address and, from it, figure out which ISP that IP is registered to and roughly where it's located. This tool just reads and displays that same information back to you, instead of leaving it invisible. The lookup happens via Cloudflare, the network this site runs on: Cloudflare attaches ASN (the ISP's network identifier), organization name, and approximate geolocation to every request it handles, based on the IP's registered range — the same data your ISP's own registration records provide to any network operator. Nothing is looked up from a separate third-party database, and nothing about your visit is stored.

What You'll See

  • Public IP Address: The IP address your connection appears as to this server.

  • ISP / Organization: The company that owns the network your IP is registered under.

  • ASN: The Autonomous System Number identifying that network on the internet.

  • Approximate Location: City, region, and country associated with your IP's registered range — not your exact address.

Why the Location Is Approximate

IP geolocation is based on where an ISP has registered a block of addresses, not GPS or your device's actual position. It's usually accurate to the city or metro-area level, but can be off — especially on mobile networks, VPNs, or satellite internet, where an ISP's registered address for a range of IPs may be far from where you're actually connecting from.

Common questions about What Is My ISP?.

Your public IP address is visible to any server you connect to, including this one. Cloudflare (the network this site runs on) attaches the ASN and organization name registered to that IP's network range to every request, the same way any network operator can look up who owns an IP block. This tool reads and displays that information.

No. The location shown is approximate — based on where your ISP has registered that block of IP addresses, typically accurate to a city or region, not your exact address or GPS position.

If you're on a VPN, your ISP's own IP geolocation will show the VPN server's location, not yours. On mobile networks, carriers often route traffic through a regional hub, so the registered location can be a nearby city rather than exactly where you are.

No. The lookup reads data already attached to your request by Cloudflare's network and returns it to your browser — nothing is logged, stored, or sent to a third party.

An Autonomous System Number is a unique identifier for a network on the internet — ISPs, hosting providers, and large organizations each operate under one or more ASNs. It's one way to identify which network your IP belongs to, separate from the human-readable organization name.
